Certainly everyone has strengths and weaknesses and to a certain extent every individual may have one or more of the characteristics associated with a learning difficulty. The number of characteristics and more importantly, the degree to which these characteristics interfere with life and learning is the determining factor. As a teacher, one plays a vital role in helping children with learning difficulties achieve their full potential and so, EduAhead has assembled this module to provide assistance for this important job!
What is learning difficulty and how to recognize it? What is attention difficulty and how does it interfere with learning? And how is learning or attention difficulty different from that of a general academic one? Can teachers help these students to improve their literacy skills or do they require specialists? If they can help, how do they do so? These questions are all typical ones that many of those in the field of teaching have about those students with learning and attention difficulties. This module will introduce one to the teaching concepts related to such students and help to answer some of these questions.
